Catrice Mint Me Up Swatch

Quick post before I get back to work!

Today, I have Catrice Mint Me Up. It's a beautiful minty green. Reminds me a lot of OPI Thanks A Windmillion, except that this polish has bronze-ish/copper shimmer. It's so pretty. I used 2 coats but I found the formula of the polish a little thick. I guess the small, fat brush and slightly thick polish made the polish a bit lumpy on my nail so I had to be careful when painting. But I think all Catrice polish seems to have similar formula so I don't think it's like an accidental problem? Oh well, just have to be more careful when I'm painting.

Hope you girls are doing well :) My exams start next week so I'll try scheduling posts in sometime during the week so I don't have to get so stressed up nearer the dates. They'll be mostly my past swatches because I haven't had much time to get my creative juices flowing to do nail art :/ But I promise those will come in the holidays (DECEMBER YAY CHRISTMAS).

Catrice Karl Says Tres Chic Swatch

Hey ladies! Quick post before I'm off to do some school stuff. Today I have Catrice Karl Says Tres Chic! It's such a gorgeous feminine light pink. I could wear this shade forever! I think it really suits my skin tone too :) Hehe, fan of muted pinks.

In natural light,

Artificial light,

The polish doesn't dry as shiny as it appears here. It's the Seche Vite top coat I used. I really love how it makes my mani look really good! And smooths out all the funny bumps that somehow appear because of wonky polish or uneven coats! Anyway, thanks for reading :)

Polish Haul Saturday #12

Hello! Yes, I acknowledge that this post is late. I'm sorry. My time management is horrible. Like I always think I don't need so much time for some things then suddenly, I have no time for other things! Sigh. :( In my defence, University starts tomorrow so I was busy getting those last-minute admin stuff done! I'm actually excited for school. Haha, is that crazy? Some of my friends think I am. Anyway, on to my new nail polish!!! I'm particularly excited for this one because I got a gift, or two from my friend and it's BUTTER LONDON!!!! I've never owned a Butter London polish in my life so you can imagine how excited I was when my friend suddenly gave them to me as a birthday gift. I was still telling her oh it's okay you don't have t get me anything when she was taking it out. And then I saw it. I was like 'GIMMEEEE' in my head of course hahaha. I was so happy! And I found out that Sephora in Singapore has started selling them. I'm so gonna head over there the next time I'm free or happen to be in a mall with a Sephora in it.

So my friend got me Butter London Slapper and Butter London Queen Vic. Both really gorgeous colours! I've already worn Queen Vic on my fingers and have her(?) on my toes now haha.

Close-up shots to show the polish bottle itself!! EXCITED~

Butter London Slapper.

Butter London Queen Vic.

And I also got myself some polish. These are Catrice Karl Says Tres Chic and Catrice Mint Me Up. Both colours are really pretty. Couldn't resist not buying either one of them!

Close-ups!

Catrice Karl Says Tres Chic. I think this is the only kind of 'nude' shade I can pull off.. I haven't found a proper nude that looks good on my tan skin unfortunately.

Catrice Mint Me Up. This one is really pretty! Can you see the little bronze-ish flakes inside?

Any particular polish you wanna see swatched first? Or else I'm just gonna do the Butter London first because it's BUTTER LONDON AHHHHHHHH.

Haha, thanks for reading! :)

Catrice Denim Moore Swatch

Hello all! I have a Catrice swatch for you today. I wore this a few days ago. Denim Moore is a dark periwinkle blue with a slight shimmer. Formula was a bit thick but sheer so I applied 3 careful coats to even out the surface. Unfortunately while I was applying my top coat on my thumb, I dragged the polish below :( My thumb nail is also wonky because I keep accidentally chipping it.

I'm not sure if this colour is supposed to be close to denim since it's named Denim Moore. But I think it's much lighter than the colour of denim although, I still love this colour. What can I say? I'm a fan of blue :)

Polish Haul Saturday #8

Hello ladies! It feels like forever since I've done a Polish Haul Saturday. I've actually been trying to control my spending because.. well, because I love shopping and eating too much in general and I was close to broke. Still am actually haha. Anyway, these nail polish were all unplanned buys. Since I have been trying to avoid buying new polishes recently, I've actually stayed away from my normal nail polish shops to resist temptation. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I happened to end up with new polishes -_- Not that I'm complaining because I get to do one of these posts haha!

The first two were bought because I was shopping for a friend and I happened to see the OPI polish Lunch At The Delhi and it just looked so pretty and I could actually picture it on my fingernails so I had to get it. Same for the OPI Matte Top Coat. I really couldn't resist :X

The Catrice is called Denim Moore. So what happened here was that the new mall Jem opened and I went down to see it yesterday. And the beauty store in the basement sold Catrice polishes. It's actually really rare to see Catrice in Singapore so I figured I could afford to treat myself LOL. I later also saw another beauty store in the basement that sold Nicole by OPI. But, I managed to resist buying any yesterday. I'll probably end up shopping there another day though haha.

Anyway, on to the bottle shots!

From left to right, OPI Matte Top Coat, OPI Lunch At The Delhi and Catrice Denim Moore.

Close-up shots so the colour's clearer :)

The Catrice polish in the bottle actually looks more shimmery but I couldn't capture that. Hopefully it will show up on my nails when I swatch it.

Haha, look at the OPI Matte Top Coat photo. Can you tell what polish that is? It's Lunch At The Delhi hehe. I really couldn't resist wearing it. It's so pretty! I think I'm a pink and red nails fan! Will get a post up soon on that polish :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh My Copper

Today, I have Catrice Oh My Goldness to show you. I found this colour slightly more copper than gold but I guess in sunlight it kinda looks gold so the name's legit haha. I really liked how classy this colour looked and I think it suited my skin tone. However, I proceeded to ruin it by adding crackle polish to it later. I thought it would be a nice touch to it but.. no, I didn't end up liking it.

I took an impromptu photo in direct sunlight to show the shimmer and that it can actually look gold.

On to the artificial lighting photos, which are prettier hehe.

And then I added black crackle.

I guess it looks kinda interesting in a scaly, animal-like way. But I didn't like how it seems to dull the shiny copper colour below.

What are your thoughts? Do you still use crackle polish?

Polish Haul Saturday #7

Hey ladies! I've been treating myself to a lot of new polish nowadays so you get to see the results of it! Hehe. Anyway, I've recently discovered that Nicole by OPI is sold in some Watsons outlets and Catrice is sold in some Guardian outlets so I'll definitely be hitting up those places for those polishes. I've never actually tried those brands before and I'm beyond ecstatic that I found them in Singapore! And the price was quite decent too. The Catrice was $5.90 if I remember correctly and the Nicole by OPI $12.90. I also found out that Essence polish is sold too although I can't recall where I saw them so I have to do some searching around again. Alright, let's get to the polishes!

From left to right, Catrice Oh My Goldness, Nicole by OPI Just Busta Mauve and Nicole by OPI Purple Yourself Together.

First up is Catrice Oh My Goldness. This one looks more copper than gold although I'm pretty sure the name is implying that the colour is gold... We'll see when I swatch it.

Nicole by OPI Just Busta Mauve. This one's a bronze based polish with red and blue shimmer. The polish looks AMAZING in the bottle! I can't wait to try it out!

Nicole by OPI Purple Yourself Together is a purple shade with copper shimmer. The shimmer is gorgeous but visible under brighter lighting. It's also the purple polish on my nails right now. I was too excited to use them haha! The proper photos and review will be up soon!
