Holographic Naughty

Hello! Today, I have Revlon Naughty to show you. I got this polish about two weeks ago and finally painted my nails with it! Toenails aren't counted because I can't photograph them and post it here and I'm sure you don't want to see my toes anyway hehe.

Naughty is a dusty purple with violet shimmer. But the shimmer is barely visible and really hard to capture. I think if you enlarge some of my photos, you can see the violet shimmer on like one or two of the nails.

Application for Naughty was alright, a bit thick but that meant even coverage in two coats so that was fine. Then, I decided to try my new gold holographic top coat which I bought on Monday which you will get to see in tomorrow's nail polish haul! Tomorrow's haul is very exciting! Lots and lots of new polishes :)

This is one coat of holo top coat and I guess you can actually put a few more coats if you really want it to sparkle!

What do you think of this polish and the holographic top coat? Are you a fan of holo top coats or do you prefer holo polishes?

Late Valentines' Day Manicure

I do apologize for posting this manicure so late, two days late in fact :/ I was working from Wednesday to Friday and was just really tired at night to finish everything and do my posts. But better late than never right? :)

Okay, so on to my V-Day Mani! For this, I started with Revlon Creme Brulee and used 3-4 coats.

The colour was very pretty, it's like a pale gold, and it made me think of China Glaze Fast Track although I think that polish has way more glitter and shimmer than this one. Application was pretty tough. With 2 coats it looked fine but a bit uneven so I used another coat and suddenly little air bubbles started surfacing and it somehow became more uneven.. I guess maybe I should have given more time for the polish to dry properly.

Next, I used tip guides and OPI An Affair In Red Square to create something that I just googled and realised, is kinda like a chevron manicure.

I think this looks really cute! I know it is a little messy and I realised I should've properly pressed down the tip guide so that the red polish doesn't get under the tip guide which defeats its purpose. But I'm happy that at least my thumb, ring finger and pinky look decent :)

I actually wanted to do something like hearts but my nail art is terrible and I didn't even know how to begin that. Surprisingly, this mani reminds me of Iron Man! Must be the colour combination hehe.

Thanks for stopping by!

Polish Haul Saturday #2

Yup, so it's Saturday again!! Which means..... Polish Haul!!!

Actually, I wasn't supposed to have a polish haul this week because my only free weekday was Friday and I had stuff to do so I didn't get to go down to the places that sell nail polish. The polishes that I managed to get however, are from the beauty store near my house. They were on sale so I couldn't resist! They're normally $11.90 but they were being sold for $6.90 each so I grabbed two and here they are!

I only took one photo because I figured there wasn't much of them to see. On the left is Naughty which is a dusty purple with a slight shimmer. On the right is Creme Brulee which is a metallic-looking light brown that could pass off as a pale gold colour.

And that's all for Polish Haul Saturday #2! I can't wait to wear these colours! Which one do you wanna see first? :)

Welcome to Nails and Colour~

Hello all!

So, I've finally worked up the courage to start my own nail blog after loyally following so many nail blogs for slightly more than a year. I've always liked the idea of being able to share my nails and love for nail polish with others but the thought of doing something like this was always a bit daunting. Well anyway, here I am! So let's get started.

I'll start with sharing some of my old nail photos.

Revlon Dreamer. A beautiful sky blue creme.

OPI Not So Bora-bora-ing Pink. One of my favourite pinks. It goes on very smoothly.

Here I used OPI Crown Me Already! on the tips of my nails. A very simple look and easy to do.

China Glaze Elephant Walk. I loved their Safari collection!

This is a very light gold polish, a bit greenish under some lightings although you can't see it here. It's Faceshop's Face It GL112. I like how classy and timeless this colour is.

And that's the end of my first post! I hope you enjoyed it because I certainly did! :)
