Dotted Gemma

Hi guys! I'm making up for the lack of posts this past week by posting more during the next few days so do look forward to that. I'm also more free these next few days because it's Chinese New Year which means it's a public holiday here in Singapore and I'm not working woohoo!

Today, I'm wearing Zoya Gemma which is an olive green with a purple-ish shimmer. This is my first Zoya polish too so this feels like some sort of milestone to me hehe. I'm weird like that, now I feel like I should go find more Zoya polishes so that my solo Zoya bottle won't feel so lonely. Feel free to recommend me any Zoya colours for me to check out :) Okay, now on to the pictures! WARNING. This is an extremely photo heavy post because the colour is so pretty!

The standard nail photo, I think this has become my favourite way to position my nails. The shimmer is slightly visible here.

Trying to show the shimmer that is clearly visible in the bottle! It's so pretty!

Attempting to capture the shimmer on my nail, I think I was kinda successful.

Somehow the way the light reflects makes the shimmer more visible. Unfortunately, it is only visible under certain lightings and in certain angles.

And I decided to add dots because my new dotting tool set that I got last week was just begging to be used. So I added silver dots diagonally across on half the nail. Oh right, I used OPI Moonraker for the dots.

I love this manicure! It's really cute. What do you think? :) From certain angles, it looks like snakeskin or some kind of animal skin to me haha. The Zoya polish formula was a bit sheer though. I used 3 coats and a top coat and for some nails I actually added another coat of polish and another coat of top coat because I thought it didn't look very even LOL so some nails have as many as 5 coats of polish. This colour is gorgeous though and each coat dried quite fast so it was definitely worth it. This Zoya impressed me and I'm considering getting more Zoya polishes.
