Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 3 - Yellow

Hello! I'm still playing catch up with this challenge. For yellow nails, I decided not to do anything special, not because I was feeling uninspired but because I realised I haven't actually won yellow nails out. EVER. And I own at least three bottles of yellow nail polish so it's kinda wasting away right now. So I decided to just use yellow nail polish by itself since I haven't done it before. I believe nail challenges are for trying manicures that I haven't done before and not just for coming up with tons of nail art. So here are my yellow nails :)

I used China Glaze Lemon Fizz which is a pastel yellow polish. I used 3 coats because I found that there were still bald patches after two coats. The colour was tough to photograph so I hope you at least have a rough idea of what this polish looks like.

I think the second photo, in natural light, looks closer to its actual colour. The colour is really pretty in real life and even though, I'm not a fan of yellow nails, I might actually consider wearing this colour out more!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 2 - Orange

Hello all! I'm blogging mid-week! Aren't you all proud of me? ;) Hehe. I know I need to move a bit faster and catch up on my Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge. I seem to have this warped idea that if I do one a week, I will catch up. LOL, my brain must be too sleepy. I will try to do two a week so hopefully in two to three weeks time, I can get my posts out on time.

OH and I realised I have new followers! Hi ladies :) Welcome to my blog! Okay, on to my orange nails. For this, I actually got inspired by just staring at my boring pink nails and I was like 'hey! I think orange clouds would make it pop.' So I used Nailside's Cloud Design technique. My base colour is OPI My Very First Knockwurst.

Next, I used Faceshop OR202 for the orange clouds.

I know my clouds are far from perfect but I do love the end result. It really made my mani pop and maybe it's just me, but I think it brightened up my day too!

What do you think of using bright colours? Do you think they add some fun to your day old manicures? :)

Matte half moons

Hello ladies! I have something new to show you today. I'm procrastinating and not doing my extra relaxed challenge.. oops. The colour-themed nails aren't inspiring me and I don't think you guys just want to see plain colour nails with no nail art right? I'm trying to inspire myself by looking at other nail blogs so hopefully I get ideas soon and can spam you all with new posts :)

Anyway, I've finally attempted half-moons and matte nail polish! Are you excited to see something new? I should definitely do more nail art right? Haha, but I think I shouldn't have done both half-moons and matte for the same manicure though. Okay, let's get to the photos!

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Platinum Silver and 1 coat of Seche Vite top coat, let dry for about 15 minutes (which was too short actually) and stuck reinforcement rings at the base to create the half moon shape. Then, I used 1 coat of China Glaze Liquid Leather and China Glaze Matte Magic on only the black part to mattify my mani.

I think this was a cute look! Not bad for my first attempt at the half-moon look, my lines aren't perfect even with the stickers but I think that's because my base polish wasn't completely dry and I didn't know how hard I could press the ring stickers down. I should try the half-moon look on a day old mani then I wouldn't have all these problems. And I don't think I'm particularly fond of the matte look. They feel easier to chip and ruin as compared to my shiny nails normally protected by top coat :/ But maybe that's just me and my complete lack of care haha. I ruined my matte manicure within an hour!

What do you guys think of matte nails or the half-moon manicure? Which one do you prefer?

Can't Find My Czechbook

My last OPI polish to show you guys from the Euro Centrale collection. I swear, this is most definitely my favourite colour in the collection! Saving the best for the last hehe. This one's called Can't Find My Czechbook and it's a bright sky blue creme! On to the photos because I can't wait to show you this pretty colour :)

Omg I'm so in love with this one! It's such a gorgeous blue. I love it both on my fingers and toes! It's one of those rare colours that I would wear for a whole week. I was staring at my nails for the whole two days that I wore it.

What do you guys think of this one? Are you a fan of blues?

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge - Day 1 - Red

Hello! So guess what? I've decided to take part in this extra relaxed 31 Day Challenge after much consideration, I'm just too lazy oops :P This challenge is extra relaxed because it only requires posting once a week! I'm actually three weeks late so I probably should rush to catch up with the rest lol. But yes, for now let's begin with my red nails. I'm off to a simple start.

I would have just shown plain red nails except I wanted to try my China Glaze Whirled Away. It really is a regret of mine to not have read the reviews before purchasing this. The black and white hex and bar glitter were so tough to pick up and spread on the nail. I was quite disappointed but I guess if you don't look close up, it looks alright because I kinda messed up the base polish while attempting to spread the stubborn glitter.

Holo Over The Taupe

Hi ladies! Infrequent posts again I know! :( This time it was because the website that I use for watermarking was so slow in loading and I do these posts at night so I was basically falling asleep at my computer while waiting! I guess I need to find another way to watermark them. Any suggestions? :)

Today's mani is very simple but I love how bling it looks! Hint, BLING. Can you guess what I used? Yup, holographic top coat!! Hehe. My base polish is the new and first brown polish in my collection, OPI Over The Taupe.

It's a gorgeous brown~ It's like a pretty mud colour, if that even makes sense haha.

And next the holo top coat!

Look at how gorgeous the holo is in direct sunlight!!

This was in bright light(not sunlight). It's like rainbow sparkle whee~

I love my holo top coat! Makes it super simple to transform a mani! Here, I used 2 coats of top coat because I wanted more bling :)

Polish Haul Saturday #4

I know I said something about not having Polish Haul Saturdays for awhile but... I was looking for a matte topcoat for my friend and decided to just get myself one as well because I never know when I might need one. AND I took about a month to find a matte topcoat because it was always out of stock or just plain unavailable so I'm thinking of this as investing for future use ;) Haha, the excuses I come up with for buying polish!

So this week's new polish in my collection is China Glaze Matte Magic!

And because I can never, and I mean never, resist testing out new polishes/topcoats/other polish-related items, I've already tested it and it is GOOD. I've never tried a matte topcoat but wow this was seriously impressive! I hope to do a full matte mani soon and show you guys!!

What do you think of matte topcoats or polish? Are you a fan of them?

Polka.com Is Such A Budapest

Hi ladies! I think posting twice a week has become a norm for me now. I'm so sorry! I'm trying to learn how to manage my time and make posting a more regular part of my life. Currently I only paint my nails twice a week and swatch maybe once or twice if I have new polishes to show you. But I also wear my new polishes for more than a day which is why my posts tend to be a little infrequent. Please bear with me while I attempt to try posting more!

On to today's polish! Still on OPI's new collection.. I hope you're not bored of it because I still have one last polish which should be swatched sometime next week. I'm wearing OPI You're Such A Budapest with OPI Polka.com on top which is the pink, blue and purple glitter.

I think the glitter is gorgeous on it's own but I'm not really loving this look.. Maybe I'm just not a huge fan of glitter or that I just don't like this colour combination of polish and glitter sigh :(

Hungry Again!

Hello ladies! Another OPI Euro Centrale collection polish! Man, I am loving this collection. Today, I have OPI Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! Frankly, I think the polish names are a little silly but hey, if the formula and colours are great, I'm not complaining! :) Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! is a warm-toned pink with a slight shimmer that isn't really visible on the nails.

In artificial light:

In sunlight:

In sunlight, the pink looks less Barbie pink and more of a warm pink which is the more accurate colour. I felt a little like a Barbie doll when I wore this colour LOL. But this is such a pretty shade, and I'll definitely wear it a lot. I'm going to paint it on my toes soon. It's such a happy colour :)

You're So Euro

I have another OPI Euro Centrale polish to show you all today! I really love the polishes that I got from that collection. I think it's the first OPI collection that I've actually got half the bottles in the collection and I'm considering getting one more. I'm thinking of getting My Vampire Is Buff. It looks like a really pretty nude. Anyway, on to today's polish. Today, I have OPI... Eurso Euro. I think it's supposed to be punny and pronounced as You're So Euro if I'm not wrong. OPI... Eurso Euro is a gorgeous deep royal blue creme. The formula is near perfect and the photos below show 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. And even though this polish is so dark, it doesn't stain! I wore it for two full days and removing it was a breeze. I will definitely be wearing this polish a lot :) This blue is also very bright, in a way that even in a dimly lit room, it doesn't look black at all. Like you can clearly see that it's still blue :)

Sorry if my cuticles look a little messy :/ I attempted clean-up but I'm not terribly good at it yet. Oh well! Practice makes perfect right? :)

Anyway, do tell me what you think of this colour in the comments! I thought it was similar to OPI Dating A Royal which I love but I think this definitely tops that!

Oh and I apologise for the lack of posts over the past few days. I was busy doing my Basic Theory Test for driving, getting my A Level results (which I'm quite pleased with although they're not straight As) and catching up with friends that I haven't seen for months! Thanks for bearing with me ladies! xx
